Doulton England – Madras, Burslem plate – early edition

Description

This Early edition of a Madras design plate, is by the original “Doulton” which pre-dates Royal Doulton.

This design has been further replicated by Royal Doulton, and while being original English China, the replica is quite a bit whiter and brighter looking than the original Doulton piece.

The makers mark is on the under rim of this plate instead of the centre, but does have one small mark in the centre.
