Late 1700’s Antique Hand forged Arch with concrete roses

Description

This very old Arch has been a forged work of art in the late 1700’2, which made up the top part of a door or window frame.

Typically from France, these arches are making more appearances in our vintage markets, after being modified to suit todays architecture and removed from their main structures.

I’m assuming this one stood in the weather, as all of its roses have an even proportion of wear.

The original paint has peeled and corroded to leave this unique and charming rusty effect.

A Grand piece of rust, which will increase the appeal of any space it adorns.
